Our thoughts are with our fellow committee member, team mate and good friend Kailey Walsh whose uncle John Walsh passed away peacefully on Tuesday March 7, surrounded by his loving family.

Kailey was very close to her uncle – among many reasons, he was instrumental in setting up the foundation which has supported research into Alpha-1, the genetic condition which has made her father’s life very difficult.

Last June, Fred Walsh received a successful double lung transplant. Sadly, his brother suffered a very unfortunate accident which ultimately led to his untimely death.

John will be remembered as a visionary leader and tireless advocate for those with Alpha-1. Plans for memorial services are not available at this time. Please keep the Walsh family in your thoughts.
