Without doubt, the biggest weekend of the season lies in store for the Shamrocks.

A top of the table clash in Brooklyn will see Glen Wrafter and his team look to once again overtake Polonia.

Polonia’s victory against the Ukrainians last Sunday paired with the postponement of the Iberia v Shamrocks game meant that the Rocks were leapfrogged by the Brooklyn outfit who have played a game extra and lead by one point.

The first team will play a make-up game against Iberia on Thursday April 30 at Randall’s Island (kick off 9pm).

It’s an early start at McCarren Park and sure to be a tough battle.

Equally so for the reserves who face a must-win game after dropping to a 3-2 loss last Saturday evening.

Their opponents are also coming off a win against the Ukrainians and also must keep winning in rder to have a say in the destination of the title with just three games remaining.

At the same time as the reserves game, the Over 30s will be in Randall’s Island to take on second placed Dinamo, needing just a draw to secure top spot in the division.

Meanwhile, the women’s team will play Astoria on Sunday at 3pm in Brooklyn and will look to build on their impressive 2-2 draw last Sunday.

Please note – the women’s team are always looking for new players so please reach out to the club if you know of anyone interested in playing.

And finally, congratulations to two of our club members and players getting married earlier this week. Enjoy the honeymoon Emeka Ike and Farah Aslam!

Up the Rocks!
