Double champions Shamrocks Women will face a familiar foe in their opening game of the new season when they take on talented outfit NY Magic Reserves on Sunday September 11 (East River Park, 3pm).

The fall schedule for the New York Metropolitan Women’s League was released on Thursday as the Rocks prepare for an exciting season in the top flight of women’s soccer.

And the Shamrocks haven’t left Division B behind either as the new Women’s B team look forward to entering competition with a game against fellow newcomers Beyond FC (New Utrecht, 1.30pm).

The rest of September for the A team will feature games against NY Smoking Aces and Manhattan Kickers and it won’t be until the end of October that Paddy Geraghty’s team get to test themselves against the Diviision A champions, CPR Whites.

Meanwhile, the B team will get to enjoy two showdowns at St Michaels during the opening four games, welcoming Astoria and old rivals Sirens to our Queens base.
