It was an honor and a privilege to have our former club president David “Scotty” Shevlin come out to support the Shamrocks against Lansdowne during the recent league game at Tibbetts Brook Park.

Two years ago, Scotty was the Shamrocks nominee at the inaugural Irish American Soccer Hall of Fame which was hosted at the Irish Consulate in Manhattan. Unfortunately Scotty was too ill to attend the event itself and so the award was presented by Sean Keogh to Kevin McPartland and Johner Guildea who accepted on his behalf.

Scotty is very much back on his feet again and he is pictured here with Johner Guildea receiving his award. Well done Scotty and keep thriving! Thank you for everything you did for our club for well over 20 years.

The 2016 Irish American Soccer Hall of Fame nominees will be announced soon.
