Weekend preview

A crucial weekend ahead for the Shamrocks with vital games in the Cosmopolitan Soccer League which will go a long way towards deciding the destination of all three titles.
The Rocks firsts and reserves are both at home on Sunday (1pm/3pm) with NY Supreme visiting to try and make up for the Fall defeats which also occurred at St Michael’s.
The reserves will be boosted by the return of striker Dave Harvey but both teams will need to be on their toes against the vastly improved Bronx outfit.
Later on Sunday, the Over 30s can clinch a semi-final place in Division 1 if they manage to beat arch-rivals Manhattan Celtic at Pier 40 (8.30pm).
A victory would guarantee a top-two finish for the Rocks and a semi-final berth with just NY Dinamo able to overtake them in first place.
Meanwhile, the women’s team will be looking to bounce back from last Sunday’s defeat when they head to Randall’s Island Field 82 to take on Baby Magic at 9am on Sunday morning.
Best of luck to all four teams! Up the Rocks!
